On August 8, 2023 I.Gorbulina, the Representative of the FBA EAC in Australia and New Zealand, took part in the briefing of the APEC Business Council on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The briefing was organized to provide up–to-date information to the leaders of the APEC member economies about the opportunities and challenges associated with the introduction of AI. The session was devoted to the impact of AI on business in the Asia-Pacific region, international trade and the need to develop regulatory policy. On August 9, 2023 a meeting of the FBA EAC Working Group on Working with regional and municipal entities took place. The FBA EAC Committee on BAT and Investment Projects was represented at the meeting by the Chairman of the Committee Y.Fedorov and a member of the Committee V.Donchenko. Chairman of the Committee on Sustainable Development of the Real Sector of the Economy and Investment Activity, Scientific Director of the Working Group of the Project Office of the World-class Scientific and Educational Center “Yenisei Siberia”, Head of the Representative Office of the FBA EAC in the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation O.Chernyshev participated in the meeting on behalf of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI). A.Khokhryakov, Head of the Administration of Lesosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, was invited to the meeting. On August 22-24, 2023 the 15th BRICS Summit took place in Johannesburg. Thirty four countries of the Global South took part in the summit, among them Iran, Argentina, Turkey, Algeria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Belarus. The slogan of the 15th summit was «BRICS and Africa: Partnership for Mutually Accelerated Growth, Sustainable Development and Inclusive Multilateralism». The summit focused on the criteria for potential BRICS expansion, as well as strengthening local currencies within the bloc and developing a common payment system The FBA EAC is represented at the Summit by O.Preksin, Chairman of the International Banking Committee – member of the FBA EAC Board, Deputy Chairman of the RSPP International Cooperation Committee, Vice President – member of the Council of the Association of Russian Banks, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Financial and Banking Union. On August 25-27, 2023 the Business 20 (B20) summit, the leading “interaction group” under the auspices of the G20 that brings together international business leaders, was held in New Delhi, India on the eve of the G20 summit. The Russian delegation to the B20 summit was headed by the President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs A. Shokhin. FBA EAC was represented by O.Preksin, Chairman of the International Banking Committee, member of the Executive Board of FBA EAC, Deputy Chairman of the RSPP Committee on International Cooperation, Vice President, member of the Council of the Association of Russian Banks, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Financial and Banking Union. 
The plenary session included a presentation of the results of the work under the Indian G20 Presidency in priority areas, including trade and investment, finance and infrastructure, digitalization, energy, sustainable development and climate, labour markets and education, and a number of others. On the margins of the summit, meetings were held with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to India D.Alipov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation to India A.Rybas, and partners from India, who highly appreciated the results of the B20 work under conditions of high geopolitical tension.

In September 2023 applications for participation in the Competition for the International Public Award «Business Elite of Eurasia» will continue to be accepted. On September 5, 2023 with the support of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) the Forum «Digital Finance: New Economic Reality» will be held. During the Forum, leading experts will discuss the current state of the digital financial assets market in Russia, its infrastructure and regulation, the possibility of issuing and circulating various debt and financial instruments, tax and legal specifics related to the turnover of digital financial assets, etc. Details of the program and terms of participation are available on the Forum’s website: цфа–форум.рф

On September 10-13, 2023 the 8th Eastern Economic Forum 2023 will take place in Vladivostok on the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) campus. The Forum’s business program includes a number of business dialogues with leading partner countries in the Asia-Pacific region, and with ASEAN, a key integration organization uniting dynamically developing nations in Southeast Asia.

On September 20, 2023 at 12:00 MSK  within the framework of the FBA EAC Business Dialogues program, a round table «Import of electronics to Russia and Eurasia under conditions of political and economic instability: opportunities, tools, practices» will be held. The event was initiated by MERIDA LLC (UAE), a member of FBA EAC. Companies whose work profile is related to the development, production and acquisition of precision electronics and components are invited to participate. We are waiting for confirmation of participation in this round table.

On September 21, 2023 at 14:00. MSK an extended meeting of the Board Bureau and the Organizing Committee of the X Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum «Building Bridges, Not Barriers. Business Eurasia in a New Reality» will be held.

On September 27-30, 2023 the XX International Banking Forum will be held in Sochi. The forum will include the conference «Financial Markets in Times of Structural Shifts and Shocks: Russia and International Practice». The main theme of the forum will be the discussion of the conditions and prospects for the development of financial markets in times of structural shifts and shocks.

In September 2023, the Association’s anniversary booklet is scheduled to be released.  Vice-presidents, chairmen of committees, heads of representative offices are invited to join the preparation of this publication, having worked out the issue of preparing congratulations for the FBA EAC from significant international, state, public organizations that will be included in the booklet.

On October 19, 2023 the regional financial event «FinConference 2023» will take place in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. The main program of the financial conference «FinConference 2023» is devoted to topical issues in the field of decentralized finance, payment instruments, correspondent relations and other related topics. Presentations and panel discussions are expected within the framework of this program, which will highlight the following aspects:

• decentralized finance: consideration of the concept and principles of decentralized finance, including blockchain technologies, cryptocurrencies, decentralized exchanges and other innovations in the financial sector;
• payment instruments: discussion of various payment systems, their development, efficiency and security. Consideration of new technologies and trends in payment services, including mobile payments, electronic wallets and digital payment platforms and money transfer systems;
• correspondent relations: analysis of current challenges and opportunities in correspondent banking, including liquidity issues, regulation, risk, and regulatory compliance issues;
• innovations in the financial sector and open banking: Discussion of new technological developments used in the financial industry, including artificial intelligence, big data, robotics and process automation.
